Book early. Earlier than you think. On FSU home weekends, Tallahassee rooms go weeks ahead, and the ones left on Friday afternoon are rarely the ones you wanted.

We're about 10 minutes by car from Doak Campbell Stadium, right off I-10. Here's what's left of the 2026 home schedule and the stadium rules worth knowing before you go.

FSU's 2026 home games at Doak Campbell

Four home games are already in the books: New Mexico State (Aug. 29), SMU (Sept. 7), Central Arkansas (Sept. 26) and Virginia (Oct. 3). Still to come, per seminoles.com:

  • Saturday, Oct. 31: Clemson, 7:00 p.m. Yes, Halloween. Expect some creative costumes in the stands.
  • Saturday, Nov. 21: NC State, kickoff TBA.
  • Friday, Nov. 27: Florida, 3:30 p.m. The day after Thanksgiving, and the regular-season finale.

TBA kickoff times usually get set a week or two out, once TV picks its games. Book the room now and plan the day when the time comes out.

Stadium basics

  • Clear bags only. One clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, plus one small clutch up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches.
  • Gates open two hours before kickoff.
  • Tickets and parking passes are digital. FSU says parking passes have to be saved to your phone's mobile wallet, and screenshots or printouts won't get you into a lot. Download everything before you leave the hotel.
  • Campus parking needs a permit on game days. The Seminole Boosters control campus parking and tailgating. Lots open five hours before kickoff, or by noon at the latest.
  • Pregame. Ford Fan Fest on Langford Green and the Coca-Cola Tailgate Village on Howser Green open four hours before kickoff.
  • Accessibility. FSU runs a free ADA shuttle from the Pensacola Street Garage to Gates E and J, starting two hours before kickoff. ADA parking on game days requires applying to FSU's Disabled Parking Program.

How we'd plan the day

For the 7 p.m. Clemson game, arrive on Friday or Saturday. Check-in is 3 PM, which leaves time to drop the bags and head to campus for the pregame. If you're driving in early Saturday morning, early check-in from 11:00 AM to 1:59 PM is $50 when a room is ready.

For the Florida game, it's Thanksgiving weekend, so most people will stay Thursday and Friday nights. With a 3:30 p.m. kickoff and a holiday crowd, heading home after the final whistle is a long night. Staying Friday too is the calmer plan.

After a night game, getting out of the stadium area takes a while. Back at the hotel, self check-in and a front desk staffed 24/7 mean a late return is fine, and The Café is open 24 hours with pizza in the evening and warm burritos and breakfast sandwiches for a fee.

The morning after, free continental breakfast is waiting: waffles, eggs, fruit, cereal and juice. Checkout is 11 AM. Late checkout runs $25 for 1 PM, $50 for 2 PM and $75 for 3 PM.
