The 2027 Regular Session opens at noon on Tuesday, March 2, 2027, and its 60th and last scheduled day is Friday, April 30. If you work the Capitol, you already know the real season starts earlier. Committee weeks begin in November.

The 2026–27 calendar

  • Nov. 17, 2026: Organization Session, when the Senate organizes and selects officers. Training for senators runs Nov. 17–19.
  • Interim committee weeks: Nov. 30–Dec. 3, 2026, then Jan. 4–7, Jan. 11–14, Feb. 1–4, Feb. 8–11 and Feb. 15–18, 2027. Each runs Monday through Thursday.
  • March 2, 2027: Regular Session convenes.
  • April 20, 2027: the 50th day, and the last day for regularly scheduled Senate committee meetings.
  • April 30, 2027: the 60th day, last scheduled day of session.

These dates come from the Florida Senate's published session calendar and interim schedule. December has a single committee week, so the holidays stay quiet.

Where we fit

We're not downtown, and we won't pretend to be. We're on Capital Circle NW, right off I-10, a short drive from the Capitol. What you trade is a downtown garage bill for free parking at the hotel, and a place that's easy to get in and out of at both ends of a long day.

Parking at the Capitol

From the Department of Management Services: visitor parking around the Capitol is limited to metered street spaces and designated lots.

  • Kleman Plaza Garage (City of Tallahassee): underground, northwest of the Capitol, with entrances on Duval and Bronough streets.
  • Eastside Parking Garage (City): on Calhoun Street.
  • Lot E (state): next to the Museum of Florida History.
  • Lot 4 (state): behind the Vietnam Veterans Memorial off Calhoun Street, with spaces for visitors with disabilities.

Cars parked in employee spaces get towed. On committee mornings, leave earlier than you think you need to.

A room that works for a working week

  • Desk and fast free Wi-Fi in every room, for the memo that's due by 8 AM.
  • The Café is open 24 hours. Lucky Goat coffee before an early committee, and breakfast sandwiches and burritos warmed up for a fee.
  • Free continental breakfast every morning: waffles, eggs, fruit, cereal and juice.
  • Late dinners sorted. When a hearing runs long, the Marketplace has ramen and ready meals plus a guest microwave, and The Café has pizza in the evening.
  • In-room safe and RFID key cards, so the laptop can stay in the room during dinner.
  • Self check-in and a front desk staffed 24/7, for the nights you get back at ten.
